Dr. Reed

Dr. Charles Reed has known since highschool that he wanted to pursue a profession that helps people heal from injuries and maintain their long term health. Originally being from Des Moines, he got his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at the University of Iowa in 1995. From there he went on to graduate from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1998 with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Along the way Dr. Reed’s work ethic and passion for what he does was showcased when he was nominated for the Clinical Excellence Award. 

After school, Dr. Reed practiced in York, NE from 1999 to 2008. He practiced with his wife Ann who shares his passion for health and wellness and worked as a massage therapist. After practicing in New England, Dr. Reed served for 3 years as a district Governor for the Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association. He then went on to practiced in Kansas City from 2008 to 2010. 

Eventually Dr. Reed decided to come back to Des Moines in 2010 to help take care of his parents. He worked in several practices before deciding to buy Reset Ankeny in June 2016. Dr. Reed saw an opportunity to provide Ankeny with affordable, trustworthy chiropractic and massage therapy services. He works hard to maintain a strong sense of community and a friendly atmosphere within his practice. 

When Dr. Reed isn’t working he enjoys staying active and spending time with his family. He is an active cyclist and enjoys participating in every type of riding. He loves gravel racing and has competed in races up to 240 miles! In addition to racing, Dr. Reed values family above all else. He married his wife in 1995 and has four beautiful children Lauren, Tristram, Cailean and Xavier.

Parker Brownlee

Parker is and always has been a person who wants to help others in any way possible. He grew up in the Des Moines area and after graduating from Indianola High School he decided to attend Body Wisdom Massage School in 2015. Here he decided to focus on fundamental deep tissue massage techniques with a “touch” of myofascial release and trigger point therapy. Parker has been an outstanding addition to the Reset team and continues to help patients with back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, headaches, migraines, sciatic pain, fibromyalgia, and more!

When Parker isn’t helping people recover he is taking care of his dog and five cats. He also makes sure to spend time on his other passion which is cooking. Parker loves incorporating different cultures into his cooking style and makes everything from pastas to asian style dumplings and tacos.

Kelly Calderon

Kelly was born and raised in Marshalltown Iowa. She graduated from Marshalltown Community College with her associate degree and went on to get her bachelor’s in business management HR from Buena Vista.

Since then Kelly has had a very diverse career path. She started out in real estate before attending Body Wisdom Massage School and graduating from the massage therapy program in 2013. This gave her extensive experience in deep tissue massage, relaxation, rebalancing, raindrop, bamboo and reflexology. Kelly can use light to harder pressures and likes to blend her different modalities together to create a unique massage experience that is tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

When she’s not at work, Kelly is busy spending time with her family. She is a wife and mother of two wonderful teenage girls. Together they enjoy taking pictures, swimming, watching movies, and listening to Christmas music all year round!

Marissa Huff 

Marissa strives to help people be their best selves, whether it’s by applying her knowledge in cosmetology, or using her skills as a massage therapist. She’s been a part of the Reset team since 2014 and has been a licensed massage therapist for 6 years. Marissa loves building personal and professional relationships with her clients and plans to continue providing health services in the future.

Marissa specializes in Swedish massage. Most of her sessions involve Therapeutic massage of a clinical nature. She is also familiar with Prenatal massage and has experience with Reflexology of the feet and hands.

Marissa grew up in Ankeny and graduated from Ankeny High School in 2001. She lives in Ankeny along with most of her family and absolutely loves it here! After high school she attended Iowa School of Beauty for Cosmetology and then went back to get licensed in Massage Therapy in 2013. Marissa loves learning and plans to develop more skills to provide her clientele with the most Innovative techniques so that they may go throughout their daily lives looking and feeling like their best selves. She is even scheduled to take classes to become a certified Microblade artist in 2020! 


Daisy is our star employee! She keeps us company up at the front desk and loves to greet new clients. Some of her favorite hobbies are playing with toys that crinkle, chasing her tail, and meeting new patients. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Chiropractic and hopes to someday take over the practice!
